Features

Everything you need, nothing you don't.

Share or paste

Tap Share in any app and pick ClipSave, or paste a link on Home. A link you copied is picked up when the app opens.

Pick a quality

Choose video or audio from up to four qualities, with file sizes shown up front. Set a default to skip the picker entirely.

Playlists

Open a YouTube playlist, tick the videos you want, and save them into one folder, numbered in playlist order.

Pause and resume

Downloads keep running when you leave the app. Pause, resume or retry any time, and partial files are kept.

Your folder

Files land in Movies/ClipSave or Music/ClipSave, or any folder you pick. No storage permission needed.

Private by design

No ads, no analytics, no account. Optional Instagram or Facebook sign-in keeps cookies only, never your password.

Choosing a video quality

How it works

From link to gallery in four taps.

  1. 01

    Share

Find a video in any app, tap Share and choose ClipSave. Or paste the link on Home.

  2. 02

    Choose

Pick video or audio, then a quality. You see the size of each option before you start.

  3. 03

    Download

ClipSave works in the background with a progress notification, so you can keep using your phone.

  4. 04

    Done

The file shows up in your gallery and under Downloads, ready to watch offline.

Works with

1000+ sites. Your favorites included.

Powered by yt-dlp, the open-source engine behind most video downloaders. Please save only what you have the right to.

About the warning

“File might be harmful.” It isn't.

Chrome and Play Protect show this for every APK from outside Google Play. ClipSave isn't on Play because Play doesn't allow apps that download from sites like YouTube, not because anything is hidden.

Public code
Every line of the app is on GitHub under GPL-3.0, for anyone to read.
Built in the open
Releases are built by GitHub Actions from that code, with public build logs.
One signing key
Each APK has a published checksum and certificate you can check yourself.
